The challenge

Make digital learning truly connect with students

The Online Education team sought to build virtual teaching on open platforms like Open edX for autonomy, accessibility, and flexibility. However, they faced a critical issue: lack of real interactivity with digital content. Static PDFs and videos failed to engage students.

They needed a solution to transform the experience into something more active, visual, and motivating while tracking student interactions.

"We didn't want to buy a service, but to develop our own platform based on Open edX to have total autonomy and be able to share our developments with the world."

The solution

A tool that brings content to life

Genially was integrated as a natural solution to create interactive content. Genially’s ready-made teaching materials, presentations, quizzes, gamification and visual elements all fit perfectly with the University’s vision for encouraging student participation.

Real-time, frictionless online editing lets teachers update resources directly, with changes automatically reflected in courses without re-importing into Open edX.

Darío Riquelme Zornow

"The idea was that the student could make decisions within the content, as in an interactive book."

"Genially allows you to assign a score if the student views all sheets and answers a final question. We did some tests and it was very intuitive."
